Doctors Who Go Beyond: Honoring National Doctors’ Day and Physicians Week 2025

As National Physicians Week comes to a close (March 25–31), we pause on March 30—National Doctors’ Day—to express our deepest gratitude to the physicians who make an impact every single day. These two milestones offer a timely reminder to celebrate not just what doctors do, but who they are: experts, advocates, innovators, and everyday heroes.

Since 1933, National Doctors’ Day has recognized the vital role of physicians in delivering compassionate, high-quality care. And since 2015, National Physicians Week has expanded that recognition into a full week of reflection and appreciation—honoring the clinical, academic, and human contributions doctors make to communities across the country and the world.

At Caliber, we’re privileged to work with physicians who embody this spirit year-round. From providing care in rural communities to advancing medical research in academic centers, our physicians continually exemplify the reach and heart of medicine at its best.

Our Providers Who Go Beyond

This year, we were proud to see Dr. Brian Chan Truong recognized as a 2024 Locumpedia Provider of the Year. An OB/GYN and longtime Caliber physician, Dr. Truong has spent nearly a decade bringing critical care to underserved communities—while also extending his impact globally through medical missions. His work is a reminder that the power of one physician can ripple across borders.

We also had the pleasure of spotlighting one of our other locum physicians, Dr. Felder, a dedicated Neurologist whose journey into medicine was born from personal experience—and who now splits his time between serving veterans and innovating concussion treatment. Thanks to the flexibility of locum tenens, Dr. Felder has authored over 20 medical patents while continuing to provide expert care in high-need areas.

These physicians—and so many others—represent what it means to go beyond: beyond geography, beyond expectations, and beyond the clinical setting.

Today and Every Day

While National Doctors’ Day may be one moment of recognition, the impact of our physicians is felt far beyond a single day or week. Whether it’s stepping in during staffing shortages, serving the underserved, or reshaping how and where care is delivered, doctors are driving meaningful change in every corner of healthcare.

To every physician reading this: thank you. Your work matters. Your presence is powerful. And your commitment changes lives.

From all of us at Caliber, we see you—and we’re honored to stand beside you.

If you're a physician looking for more flexibility, purpose, or new ways to make a difference, we'd love to connect. Let’s explore what ‘going beyond’ could look like for you.
